Thanks a lot for your input. Unfortunately, translating the documentation is a bit of a problem right now since I'm rather busy right now. If I find the time, I will look at it, though.
Internally, we're using the IAAF scoring tables already. As far as I know, the calculation formulas are not available for free, that's why we're not publishing them here. But anyway, maybe we should put some pressure on the IAAF to make them publicly available ;-)

Well IAAF would not provide the calculation formulas but they,ve already published the scoring tables online as seperate pdf documents. There are corresponding point scores for each time for the track events and distance/height for the field events. The score tables should not be commercial anyway.
With a little copy/paste, I have had the tables in excel format, so could you or I can provide you the stuff. After that it is a little SQL and php I guess.
We, a group of athletes tired of calculating event tables and IAAF scoring, would be more than happy to assist you in anyway we can if you like.
Best regards

Hello,
It would be magnificent if there were documentation in English.
In addition to that, IAAF scoring might be a key improvement for the software. I could provide IAAF scoring tables in Excel format if necessary.
Best regards
