Hey there, I'm tinkering with cc65 for Atari 8-bit dev on my Linux box, and was please to discover Franny a while back. At this point, I'm using a horrible hack to turn a freshly-generated disk image into something that can boot (using MyDOS); basically, hacking the first 3 sectors from a bootable MyDOS disk into the freshly-generated ATR (after copying DOS.SYS & DUP.SYS to it, using Franny). Any chance you'd be willing to add an honest-to-goodness bootable-file option to Franny? (So I could, say, "copy DOS.SYS to the ATR, and make it bootable") Or does that even make sense? I'm not really an expert (far from it!) when it comes to the way DOS works on an Atari. I'm just a (long-time) end-user ;) (Lots of BASIC, TurboBASIC XL, and some Action! under my belt, but little else!) Thanks in advance, and thanks for a useful tool! Yay for cross-compiling toolchains! ;) -- -bill! Sent from my computer |
