#37 --enable-offscreen shouldn't disable the 3D viewer

The default version of asymptote links with OpenGL to provide a 3D previewer for diagrams that use the "three" module. That version cannot support the --offscreen run-time flag, though. When asymptote is built with --enable-offscreen, the --offscreen flag can be used, but then the 3D viewer is gone! Would it be possible to support both offscreen rendering and 3D viewing in the same binary at the same time?

    Hi, I was wondering about the state of affairs concerning this request? Is there any chance that the OpenGL previewer could be enabled at the same time as offscreen rendering?

    The latest version of Asymptote (2.17) supports both onscreen and offscreen rendering in the same binary,
    using OSMesa version 8.
