I can't compile the Asymptote file

    I have installed the latest versions of all the necessary programs (Miktex, Gost, Asymptote and others) But I still get this error when I try to compile an example from here: https://asymptote.sourceforge.io/doc/LaTeX-usage html

    It looks like you don't have permission to write in that directory; you should first change directories to a folder where you have write access.

      I did what you said, but it didn't help. I searched all the resources where people wrote about a similar problem, but their solutions did not help me. Apparently, the problem is in MiKTeX. But I already have the latest version with all updates

    We actually don't recommend using MiKTeX due to such installation issues. Instead, you should install TeXLive from https://tug.org/texlive/

      Yes! It helped, thank you very much! Just need to clarify that you need to change the PATH to the path to TexLive, otherwise it will refer to MiKTeX. I hope this discussion will help someone else)
