OUCH! That's a bummer... I have to confess that Vista pushed me (kicking and screaming) over to the OS X camp. OK, that's not entirely true, it was really a combination of Vista's genuine security features, Quicksilver, and primarily the ability to run many operating systems on one machine from Boot Camp or Parallels. Regardless of my personal reasons, I would really like that XUL UI to support Vista, anyone interested in contributing? One thing that may or may not help is our latest build of AsProject<http://www.asserttrue.com/articles/2007/04/04/introducing-asproject>, now called Sprouts <http://code.google.com/p/projectsprouts/>. It's definitely where are energy is going these days and it does provide most of the features found in the XUL UI, but it's certainly not very mature and does a lot more, in some ways less (for the time being), than what XUL UI was designed to do. Thanks, Luke Bayes http://www.asserttrue.com I just got a new laptop the other day. I downloaded and set up the XUL > runner. I tried to launch it, but nada! > > Anybody got any ideas? > |
