I'm guessing that .pkg is some kind of mac zip file. Is there a way to
further "unpack" it so that you have a series of directories?

If so, then there should be a xulrunner folder from our distribution that
goes inside of your installed XulRunner location...

Please let me know if that doesn't work for you as some folks have offered
to get more complete mac installer going and this would probably be a good
time to get that published.
