# INTRODUCTION #

I just thought I'd take this opportunity to send out a good'ol g'day to you=
 all now that there are a few members on the list.  I'd like to thank you a=
ll for your interest in the project and let you all in on a few things I've=
 got planned for this.


# CURRENT STATUS #

The current released version is version 0.3, which is a renamed version of =
the original AstCDR tool.  This tool has had a couple of enhancements over =
the last day or so during it's integration into the AstWeb project.

These are mainly:
-	External basic configuration file
-	New window for search results (not sure if I'll keep this)
-	A 'today' button to make searching for today's CDRs a bit easier.

The main focus of my work yesterday was to come up with how I was going to =
handle the overall interface and all the different modules that will be use=
d for each specific function, i.e.: CDRs, Extension configs, etc...  I 'cou=
ld' put them all in one big file, but this isn't very practical from a deve=
lopment OR a user standpoint.  I think I've come up with a nice useable way=
 to do it though that doesn't interfere with my sessions management and log=
ins, and I WAS planning on working on it today, but it looks like my server=
 has had other ideas and decided to lock me out of my remote development en=
vironment so I can't work on it from work.

So far I've started working on 2 modules.  These are 'report_cdr' (the old =
AstCDR) and 'report_log' (reading of log files).  These are just simple tes=
ts to prove the integration with the main interface.  They work, but still =
need a little more design work.

So that's where we're up to.  Community-wise, we have the Site on SourceFor=
ge up and running, including this mailing list, so if you have any features=
, bugs or whatever please log them in the tracker on the website. =20

# THE FUTURE (i.e.: next week) #

My short term goals are to finish off the main environment interface and I =
should have this done by the end of the weekend.  I should also have either=
 completed, or at least well under way, an extensions module to allow addin=
g/editing of extensions.  I may also have some work started on signalling t=
he Asterisk server to reload the configs, cause I'm curious how we're going=
 to pull this part off myself (will start with a command line reload, if yo=
u don't know what I'm talking about, never mind :-) ).

And that's it for now.  I'm just hoping to make it through the weekend with=
 something worth uploading to the CVS on Monday night.  Any requests or sug=
gestions, please dump them on this mailing list or as I mentioned, in the S=
F tracker.
