Gentlemen(and/or Ladies)

On Palm T/X the field"DIST" (distance in AU to selected object) is always flashing meaningless numbers.Positive, negative, zero, etc...

Have reloaded ver3.0 3 times with same results. I have a file viewer so I know the databases are being deleted and reinstalled properly.
Any ideas???

The bug is that the dist field is displayed at all. It should only be displayed for solar system objects (and giving the distance of the moon as 0.00 AU is correct but meaningless).

Currently, we do not store the distance for objects outside the solar system in the pdb file. So the correct way to fix it is to remove the field. The value that is currently output comes from an uninitialized variable so it is completely random.

I think this is true only for extra-solar-system objects, and is fixed in SVN for the next release.

This should be closed, since the current code has distance support for both DSOs and solar system objects.
