#53 Lunar Phase

When the lunar phase calendar page is shown the phases are incorrect. For example July 2007 starts with about full moon on the first, third quarter is on about 13th, new is about the 28th then it jumps to full on the 30/31st.

This is in version 3.0, with large colour planets and UK English version of the application.

I can confirm this bug. It looks like a conversion problem in LunarPhase. The phase calendar is the only part that still uses this particular function. I will probably change it to use LunarPos, which is much slower but is what is used by the sky-map display.

On the other hand, I'm thinking of dropping the phase calendar completely someday. It makes more sense to change the date chooser to display lunar phases.

Happens with me as well, as the moon jumps from new moon to full. Actually it looks as if it replaced all the first quarter moon and is displaying the new moon instead but also the dates are all off so something else is messed up.

On a side note I hope you don't remove the lunar calander, as I personally enjoy a simple easy-to-look-at calander (when you get it fixed) as oppose to having to physically change the date and zooming in on the moon especially as my stylus is a a little finicky when pressing the tiny zoom in/out buttons on my Zire 31. the hardware up and down buttons would probably be perfect for this, but thats another matter. This is especially a pain if you want to see how the moon changes through the month because inthis new version it is an object on the celestial sphere and you have to zoom out and find it all over agian as you change days. I enjoy that feature but its nice to have the calander as well to complement it.
