We have a request to add support for OpenSER.

OpenSER has announced Perl interpretation for programming OpenSER:
http://www.openser.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=70&Itemid=9 . Is it possible to sync this Asterisk Perl project to theirs? Working to ensure the two APIs are the same wherever possible, with explicit semantics for disambiguating. The goal would be reuse of as much scripting as possible targeting both or either platform, without recoding.

This suggestion has received very little/no interest.  Therefore I'm
closing it.  If anybody wishes to pursue this they're welcome to but it
will have to be either contributed or paid for.
