Hello everyone, I've been really frustrated by the ancient Mambo install that was astlinux.org. I've been working with an excellent web developer at Star2Star and he suggested (and installed, and customized, and hosted) a much-improved version of the old site. This time we are using Drupal. So far I like it much more! Depending on your DNS situation you may or may not see the new astlinux.org site by going there. One thing you will notice is the login box in the lower left hand corner. This allows me to create accounts for people to modify the site, add content, etc. I've been really happy with the participation of the community and I would be more than willing to create logins for some of the regular contributors around here. Just let me know what kind of stuff you'd like to fix/change/add on astlinux.org and I'll create a login for you if it makes sense. WIth the release of 0.4.6.1 I am hoping that I will be able to branch trunk into 0.5 and work on documenting and refining some of the new features that are available. Now that I have a website I like I might even write some docs for them! ;) P.S. - That web developer at Star2Star is Gabe Shepard. Thanks again Gabe! -- Kristian Kielhofner |
