You'll need to be very careful there.  From prior emails, Ioan only has 
128MB of ram on this machine.  If you increase /tmp or /var which are 
both tmpfs file systems, your available ram will be reduced as the 
partitions fill up.  It would be interesting to repeat the same test 
with more memory (say 512MB) and increased /tmp and /var partitions.
