I have not had to mess with FXOTUNE in quite a while but seem to recall that last time I did it, I used a recipe I found on voip-info.org ... there was a "manual" first step where you ran the program at the command line which created some sort of "sample file" ... suspect you will have to put Astlinux in R/W mode for this piece of puzzle ... then you edit the script file that executes zaptel and insert the command just after the zap card is initialized ... the idea is that on reboot, fxotune reads the sample file and tweaks the fxo ports based on the sample ... I wish I was a bit more technically astute on this issue and could give you specifics ... but the scenario I describe is I think accurate ... suspect a bit of experimentation will be required ... you might want to start with the article at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+fxotune and see if that helps ... regards G.Hendershot _____ From: ast...@li... Seems to be working pretty well except for the occasional echo problem which leads me to a question. I am using fxotune which does improve the situation (thanks for including it!). Is fxotune -s started prior to Asterisk? Sorry I dont know where to look for this in ASTLinux (I am interested to know). Thanks guys for a great product. I look forward to many more installs. I have another 3 lined up already which I might actually get paid for. Regards Michael Knill |
