Actually we went through this exercise a month or so back.  This 
particular chipset uses the r8169 driver, but requires a newer one than 
what is included in the kernel.

I don't know how soon or if we will be able to support this in the 
project.  More than likely it will just work when a newer kernel is 
used.  The 0.4 branch is based off an older kernel (2.6.16.12).  Trunk 
has 2.6.20.  I didn't see anything in the kernel change log to indicate 
any changes to the r8169 driver since that kernel release.  Do you know 
if that hardware works on a standard linux distribution with a 2.6.20 
kernel?
