Florian,
The r8169.ko module (for the RTL8169 chipset) is already included as 
part of Astlinux. To verify this, you can boot up an Astlinux machine 
and run `modprobe r8169` and then `ifconfig` will list the interface. I 
myself use this driver with the Netgear GA311 NIC with nor problems.
