Lonnie, Save your money and buy a Netgear. Their managed switches are very reasonable, quiet and work well. This is a 24 port switch with 12 POE ports and 2 additional Gigabit ports (that can be joined to create a 2 gig trunk). The vlan feature is very easy to work with. It's also priced around $300. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122077 Darrick Lonnie Abelbeck wrote: > I am in the market for a web-managed, 8-port, 10/100 PoE switch for > SPA-942 IP Phones. > > I prefer HP Procurve switches, and really like the new web-managed > 1700 and 1800 series (VLAN configuration so simple a caveman could do > it), but the fine folks at HP say a PoE option is not in the near > future for that platform. > > The Allied Telesis AT-8000/8POE looks like a good match to my needs. > (about $380 street) > http://www.alliedtelesyn.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=156&lid=42 > <http://www.alliedtelesyn.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=156&lid=42> > > Does anyone have experience with this switch, or have one to recommend. > > TIA > > Lonnie > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express > Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take > control of your XML.
