The method you guys describe is actually the way I was finally able to get
it to work ... I figured I was breaking at least 20 or 30 rules by doing it
this way and thought I had just misunderstood the way it was really supposed
to be done ...

The snippets Lonnie provided are great and go a long way to filling in some
gaps in my understanding of what the heck is going with this ...

Fact is I managed to get the darn thing to work, I just had no idea of how
or why it worked ... A very dim bulb just lit up so I think I may actually
have a handle on it with a bit more practice ...
