Hello,

AstLinux Development Environment is based on Buildroot, so you will find 
what you need in Buildroot documentation.

http://buildroot.uclibc.org/buildroot.html

Look for the section "Extending Buildroot with more Software". 
Basically, you need to create .in and .mk files, not exactly a trivial 
task, but not too complicated either.
