I routinely test and build the dev environment (trunk only) on CentOS 4.4, Ubuntu Feisty and Ubuntu Dapper. Using multiple distros and hardware combinations has exposed several bugs that I wouldn't have found otherwise. I encourage users to use their favorite distro and report on any problems they have. I have also added a dependency checker that will check your host system and make sure you have everything installed. It's a work in progress, but it tests for almost everything used in trunk. -- Kristian Kielhofner |
