iaxmodem has been present in all of the 0.4.5 release candidates.  
Kristian will be building the final images shortly.  efax is also 
included which can tie in with iaxmodem, but I would recommend using 
iaxmodem on the astlinux box and Hylafax installed on a separate box.  
For information on how to do this, refer to the iaxmodem mailing list. 

Please note:  Faxing over IP is not 100% reliable.  You will get decent 
results if your internet connection is good (both adequate available 
bandwidth and low latency and jitter.  You also must use ulaw.  Any 
other compressed codec will result in failed transmissions.  Ideally, 
you would use an analog phone line with iaxmodem as the virtual modem 
tied to that analog line.
