I updated lcdproc in 0.4 to 0.5.1 (which is the latest released 
version).  It looks like they have included the patch you're talking 
about in CVS.  I'd rather not have to include an extra patch that will 
go away when the next release of lcdproc is out, but if you have a link 
to a patch that cleanly patches against the released version, I would be 
willing to test it.  Give me a link or email it to me directly.
