[Astlinux-users] LINUX_VERSION

Hi,
I can not read the $LINUX_VERSION in my package.mk version.
What is a proper way to obtain the kernel version at the beginning of  
package.mk? I need that as my download string contains the kernel  
version (file-2.16.20.tar.gz)
