Hello Peter, the best/most reliable configuration for a production system is iaxmodem+hylafax. That's the configuration you are using. spandsp 0.0.3 includes some ECM features, what helps if you run it with app_fax. I have this combination running, but having said, I am not sending receiving tons of faxes to/from different location in the world. If I would need to send/receive so many faxes, I'd really go for hylafax! regards, Ingmar quoting Peter Roelandts > Hi everyone, > > Just let you know that I do tests with > > asterisk <--> mISDN <--> spandsp <--> iaxmodem <--> hylafax > > Did a lot of research finding the best solution especially for the fax > app. > > Hylafax is definite the winner it has a superior error checking and > automatic correction mechanism. > > Running a system in production for one month now at a customer who send / > receive between 20 -30 faxes a day. > > Read about rxfax / txfax that they have no crc build in but forgot to > bookmark this information don't know if this is true :) > > regards, > > Peter > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "IS" <is...@es...> > To: "AstLinux Users Mailing List" <ast...@li...> > Sent: Wednesday, February 21, 2007 12:50 AM > Subject: Re: [Astlinux-users] AstLinux next release > > >> Hi Kevin, >> >> you can use iaxmodem to talk to a fax application.
