Hello all, Bonjour seems like a great way to advertise the presence of Asterisk and to point users in the right direction. But what about the reverse? Could Bonjour be used to listen for a SIP phone that advertised its presence? A simple scenario is having phones advertise themselves through Bonjour, listing up their management interfaces (http, https, telnet, etc). A PHP webpage takes the Bonjour information, and presents properly formated links to the services of the devices AstLinux can see. So, clicking a devices link will allow access to the device. I may be asking too much here, but what sort of functionality would be needed on the phone and in AstLinux to allow for client/server discovery, and possibly partial or full configuration/provisioning of a phone from an AstLinux box, in a generic manner? Bonjour seems to be a pretty device agnostic way of potentially accomplishing that. Am I missing something here? Thank you for your time. Ben |
