GParted works!! At least on my test VM. I put the GParted ISO onto my ESXi datastore, created a VM, attached the target disk as a 2nd disk, then booted from the ISO. I could then select the target disk and resize it easily. Shutdown the GParted VM, removed the 2nd disk, booted my test Astlinux and the partition was resized. Now to decide whether to do the same on my main Astlinux (after backup / snapshot!) or go with a new install to get the separate kd partition.
