Interesting to learn that the copper in AU is in similar shape to the copper in the U.S. !! In some of the more wealthy and densely populated urban areas, the ILEC's are forcing customers onto fiber with no choice. This has generated many problems in large old apartment houses when they choose NOT to locate an optical terminal in the basement and not use existing wiring, probably because they want to sell Internet.
