[Astlinux-users] Sangoma wanrouter missing kernel option and driver

Guys,

I just compiled rev. 832 and i get this:


pbx ~ # wanrouter hwprobe



wanrouter: Wanpipe Module: /lib/modules/2.6.20-astlinux/kernel/drivers/net/wan/sdladrv not found !!!!
        WANPIPE drivers must be compiled as modules
        Check kernel configuration in /usr/src/linux/.config:
             CONFIG_WAN_ROUTER=m
             CONFIG_VENDOR_SANGOMA=m

pbx ~ #                                   



We should include those settings in linux-config

Lenir,

That module is built.  I'm not sure why you're seeing that error.  It 
compiles properly in the 0.4 trunk anyway.

Wanpipe is not and should not be in the linux-config.  It's an external 
package that gets built after kernel is built.

Ok, i enabled those options in the kernel and everything works great now, like i said before, those options should be included by default in the linux-config file...the only thing that is missing is that packages/wanpipe/wanpipe.mk does not install the wanpip.init, wanpipe should start  before zaptel does. Also keep in mind that anytime that wanpipe is restarted, zaptel and asterisk should both be restarted.

Lenir,

  Those options should not be included by default.  Sangoma recommends
that you use the external wanpipe modules instead.

  On my system I have this:
2.6.20-astlinux/kernel/drivers/net/wan/sdladrv.ko

  What do you get with the default linux kernel settings and "modprobe sdladrv"?
