Hello Shanavaz, This is how I run asterisk-java FastAGI server using jar files: I have asterisk-java-VERSION.jar unpacked in my agiScripts.jar file (in my case it's done automatically by maven). Then from directory containing this jar file I run following command: java -cp agiScripts.jar org.asteriskjava.fastagi.DefaultAgiServer I am not sure if it's the best practice but thats what I do and it fits my solution perfectly. Hope it helps. 2012/7/17 Shanavaz E A <sha...@ya...> > yes, i configured the fastagi mapping file as : > hello.agi = com.mysite.mypackagename.MyClassFileName > > Also while building jar file, the main class also specified in the > manifest. > > > > --- On *Tue, 7/17/12, Albert Bonomo <ape...@gm...>* wrote: > > > From: Albert Bonomo <ape...@gm...> > Subject: Re: [Asterisk-java-users] Run a jar file > To: ast...@li... > Date: Tuesday, July 17, 2012, 7:07 PM > > > java-asterisk can not find your Main.class in your jar file. > Have you tried to configure the map file using the complete calss name ? > something like com.yourdomain.yourproject.somepacckage.yourcalss ? > > I don't remember now how to configure asterisk-java. yes, i configured the fastagi mapping file as : hello.agi = com.mysite.mypackagename.MyClassFileName Also while building jar file, the main class also specified in the manifest. --- On Tue, 7/17/12, Albert Bonomo <ape...@gm...> wrote: From: Albert Bonomo <ape...@gm...> Subject: Re: [Asterisk-java-users] Run a jar file To: ast...@li... Hi, reading your explanation I think that what you need is to integrate the AMI interface to your system. AMI stands for Asterisk Manager Interface. This interface let your app connect to an Asterisk server and start getting events on different call status ( NewChannel, SetVariable, Hangup, etc ) for you to store and do what you need with them. Through AMI you can also originate calls by bridging channels initiated by you. AMI together with AGI is the best way to implement almost any application. I ran across asterisk-java looking for a solution. Looking at the example and javadoc it looks like it can do what I am looking to do, but want to post the application and see if there are any thoughts. I have a java call accounting program that I have been working on for over 4 years and it functions well. It uses mysql for data storage and integrates with our current pbx. We are moving to a different platform that I am using a asterisk box to proxy our trunks (PRI and sip) to two different ip/pri pbx's that we sell. Asterisk does the job, but what I would like to do in integrate my current java application to asterisk to provide call accounting information as well as call control. Basically I would like the asterisk box (with java) to take the incoming call, lookup the incoming call by its dnis (number dialed) by looking the number up in a mysql database (db access I know in java) and then tell asterisk what sip trunk (or pri) to route the call to (another pbx). And in the reverse, receive the call from the other pbx's and route the call base on who the call came from (based on outbound caller id, another mysql lookup) possibly change the caller id, and then send the call over the pri or ip trunk selected. All the while writing the call information (numbers, start time, end time, trunks involved, call direction, etc...) to another mysql database table. Would this java api be able to perform those functions? By the example it looks like I can have my java app handle the call and move it to the proper place, but does the thread drop once it connects the call or does it hold on or can I put a hook (or listener) in so I can write the call information to the database after the call terminates? I have been working with java for quite some time but I am very new to asterisk, I am not sure if I should just do this using asterisk natively or use java-asterisk where I am more familiar with the java programming api. Thanks for the input!! - Jeremy |

Hello, I'm upgrading to the new Confbridge based events from the old MeetMe based events in my Asterisk Java based application. I used to be able to call getUserNum() for the user's index on a conference, however I am unable to call this with the new events. Is there a way to get the user's index on a conference via the Confbridge based events? I need a unique ID for each user per conference. Also thank you for all your hard work on this API, it's greatly appreciated!!! Tom Kessler |

Hi, İ want to use jtapi implementation with asterisk. İ think 0.3 version of jar doesn't support jtapi. Can you give me suggestion to use 0.2 version of jar? İ can login with asterisk-Java-0.3 but it is not enough for me :) Thanks, Best regards. 6 Temmuz 2012 Cuma tarihinde Rafael Medeiros adlı kullanıcı şöyle yazdı: > try version 0.3.1 > > > https://nexus.reucon.com/content/repositories/opensource/org/asteriskjava/asterisk-java/0.3.1/ > > Atenciosamente, > > Rafael Nunes > I'm free - Linux > Linux User #439174 > http://www.linkedin.com/in/mederafael > > > On Fri, Jul 6, 2012 at 9:14 AM, Kaan Çalışkan <cal...@gm...> > wrote: > > Hi, > > Is there any suggestions for my case? > > > > Best regards. > > > > 2012/7/5 Kaan Çalışkan <cal...@gm...> > >> > >> Hi, > >> > >> I investigated again jar classes and log file which is sent to you by > me. > >> It is just a class and control the protocol version and it is just a > warning > >> and log says "it is your own risk". Hi, I investigated again jar classes and log file which is sent to you by me. It is just a class and control the protocol version and it is just a warning and log says "it is your own risk". Namely timeout error is related with receiver thread which waiting "Challenge" from asterisk server. Asterisk server returns Challenge to client every time but receiver thread can not read this, so client can not send login action to asterisk server. Maybe these informations are enough to solve or understand my problem. I tried different ways to connect asterisk server. One of them is your suggestion. My problem is about sender and receiver threads on asterisk-java-0.2 library. Because server sends all requests responses to client, but client doesn't understand response of challenge so it goes to timeout. This issue really urgent for me. Hi All, I am using asterisk-java-0.2 to connect asterisk server, but i get "Timeout waiting for response to Challenge" error message. My code is; ManagerConnectionFactory fac = new ManagerConnectionFactory(); ManagerConnection con = fac.getManagerConnection("172.20.165.82", 5038, "admin", "root01"); con.login(); I can login via asterisk-java-0.3 properly, but i should use 0.2 version for jtapi connection. Can you give suggestions to fix this error message or to use jtapi connection. Best regards |

Thanks for your message. If I understood this correctly, in that way I have to recompile Java Asterisk lib myself? I have a very simple patch that fixes this by adding connectedLineNum/Name to the relevant event classes, also adds DAHDIChannel event which is also currently not supported.
