I updated from 2022.02.13 W10 64 bit to v2022.09.27.
Now I got an access violation during loading *.FITS file (only some specific, others are still working).

I tried the development version with the same result.
I'm using W10 (all updates). More information needed?

I have the same issue with Astap version 2022.10.01 64b W10
On the page http://www.hnsky.org/astap.htm Program (v2022.09.27) but the link download the 2022.10.01 version.
To install this version you have to bypass Antivirus advises

I was away for some time. The NGC7822 file loads fine in version 2022-10-19. Please tell me if the problem still persists.

  2022-10-19 is still not working. I tested with a second PC (W10) with the same negativ result.
  It seems to be that I can load older images without any problem. But images taken after 09-30-2022 not working. I changed the cam from veTEC571C (color) to TS2600MP (mono) in between.

Hello Peter,

I think I found the cause. The auto demosaic is most likley still activated and it tries to convert the mono image to colour.. The file header doesn't have any BAYERPAT specified in the header and ASTAP unfortunately creates an error. Just uncheck the "Auto demosaic" option as indicated in attached screenshot and save setting to make it permanent .

I will fix the error in a new version.

In version 2022-10-19a the error should not occur. But still switch off auto-demosaic.

In a hour or so I will release version 2022-10-22 which for stacking will automatically select the correct stack method for images of a colour or monochrome camera.
