Rather than have to right click, scroll down and click "rename selected files to *.bak" EVERY SINGLE outlier I find (in addition to those already found by ASTAP that do have the "thumbs down" sortable option) it would be much quicker to either tick or untick them and then sort by that field, then we can mark the whole set and only have to do "rename selected files to .bak" once.
another option, or additional option would be to assign a "hot key" to invoke the "rename selected files to .bak" routine, something like Shift +z**
or can I manually toggle a "thumbs down" and sort by that field only?
I have to shoot very short exposure subs and often have thousands of subs to cull, and ASTAP misses some and also selects some I would like to use.
Thank You Han
Craig

I think you can sort the the "thumbs down" by sorting the quality. column. The should allow a quick select by ctrl+ arrow key.
I will add a keyboard short cut for the "rename to to "*.bak", Probable ctrl+Del . I will also add an undo for that. Moving to the bin would be better but I haven't found a way to do that for Window, macOS and Linux

In the version of today you can delete the selected files with cltr+Del. Secondly all *.bak files can be restored with ctrl+Z. This is valid for all tabs. The history is cleared when you press one of the buttons Clear. Personally I select files with shift +arrow but there are more ways
I looked briefly to moving the files to the bin/trash but this method is not standardized for Linux and also tricky in macOS so I will not develop anything in that direction.
If something does not work as desired, please tell me.
Thank you for this AND the additional shortcuts you have added, that you circled in green
and posted in this similar Topic I started on CN (for efficient ways to manually cull)
This improved ASTAP's ability to do this by about 75% from my perspective, and if I could sort on check marks - or - manually toggle/add/remove the "thumbs down" icon , then they would sort into the "low quality" portion of subs when sorting on quality - then it would be 100% logical, quick and easy IMHO
I imagine that to sort on check marks it would have to be in it's own field and that may be "easier said than dome.."
Thank You
Craig

Hi Craig,
You interface with the same people and different media sometimes. :)
The checkmarks are not sortable in the standard listview module used. Modifying the module itself would be a bridge too far.
If you experience any other problem please tell me. Feedback helps.
Cheers, Han
Note also the ctrl+Z functionality. So it allows .bak back to .fits . This took most effort.
