I use APT to capture my images my images and I would love to have the real SQM and HFR data for each shot added into the fits file. Whilst Ivo is considering can ASTAP be used to do this (and I don't have access to a SQM-LE yet) - I am fuilly aware ASTAP can calculate SQM (and HFR) for a single image.
Would it be possible for ASTAP to add a batch process wherin I could throw hundreds of images of my target and for it to calculate their SQM (and HFR if that is easy) and update the correct values in the original fits image?
Apologies - just browsing on Cloudy NIghts forum and I see this option is available - thanks Han. I had selected that extra batch process and reanalysed the images - and nothing changed - but then I saw a post where you stated then one must reload the images and then the correct SQM will be applied!
Just ran the test - it sometimes added the SQM - about 30% of the time - sometimes it had a default value through APT (that I entered incorrectly as 4.74, sometimes it is blank and other times it ranges mostly between 17.000 - 19.2000!
Some more data - many times > 50% SQM data is added, sometimes it isn't - but if I click on one it didn't add SQM to and ask it to calcualte SQM it always succeeds - why is that? I guess it is failing else where and thus not adding SQM either...
From best to average to lowest SQM to missing SQM after batch run...
Measuring SQM of images made with colour filters is less accurate. The bandpass of the filter should match the database. Could only work accurate if you use Johnson-Cousin B,V,R filters with selected online database on auto.
The bleeding of the icons is fixed in the last version.

I found a bug in the SQM processing due to a change in the procedure variables I made some time ago. The sqm was free floating.
I will add an SQM report option to the light tab.for all images ....

Try the Window development version and tell me if this works for you. See new menu.
