    Hi all!

I am setting up MountWizard4 to work with a 10 Micron mount for a school system.

It was recommended to use ASTAP for polar alignment and modeling.

As I wasn't able to solve for my focus star, Capella with the default setting of 10°, I set the driver at 180°, slewed to Cappella again, double checked the focus and centered the star... did a solve and the Message screen would show:

Solving error:     ASTAP error: (No errors)

I tried different exposure times and different star fields... to save key strokes, I enabled the Auto Solve button and we'd slew to different places in the sky. The little box (attached) would pop up... after a little while, the above message would show up in the Messsage screen... then a little while after that, the little box would stop and close.

I was using the h18 db...

    Ideas?

Most likely the image scale is wrong. The popup window inidcates that the ASTAP get the information the image height is 1.25 degrees. Check that.

You can check it by doing a blind solve in ASTAP of nova.Astrometry.net.

ASTAPLoad an image in ASTAP, Hit ctrl+A, go to tab alignment and set "field of view (height) at auto and search radius at 180 degrees. Then hit solve button. If it solves note the correct height in degrees.

Astromentry.net , upload an image to nova.astrometry.net and read the results in arcmin.

Once you have the correct height in degrees correct the setting in your progrm, either focal length, pixel size or sensor size.

There is also a checklist here:

Thank you!... I can double check and review the process you suggest... I am new to all of this so I'll need to go step by step.

The scope and camera specs are correct as they are taken from the MountWizard4 application which gets the camera info from the driver.... the ZWO ASI174MM... and we are using a 12" F9 Meade SCT... and those specs are entered correctly...
