I ran astap from command line and received the annotated jpg and it looks like it may have been annotated correctly however the image itself totally botched up. meaning background was very mottled and white stars and galaxies undescernable and perhaps blotted. Just a totally un-recognizabe image, except for some annotation that was in yellow. The 32 bit fit image supplied was plate solved correctly via astap command line just prior to this submission to be annotated. thank you for any guidance.

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
The image has to be stretched from 32 bit to 8 bit jpeg. I assume in astap.exe the stretching was set on manual. Set it to "low" and do in ASTAP menu File, Settings, Save Settings. See attached. Can you try again?
p.s. I will upload in the next hour a new astap.exe which will allows -update -o combined same as for astap_cli.exe http://www.hnsky.org/astap_setup.exe
sorry i missed this.... will update to latest astap and will try this again after saving setting to Low from manual in gui app version to be used in the _cli scripted command. thank you again very much for your ongoing support

this fit image was loaded into another application and displayed correctly and when annoted by this other program, annotation was correct.
