So I have tried doing the stacking funciton a few times now. At first I though it was because I was using an exteranl HD however after putting all the lights, and calibration frames on the same internal drive I still have this dialog box pop up. I am uisng one of the newer i9 Macbook Pros. Once I get this warning it doe not finish.

Can you make a small test set of your images, so I can repeat the probem. Zip them and upload them somewhere were I can download them. E.g. to https://ufile.io/ and give me the download link.

    Yes of course.

That link should give you the Bias, Darks, Flats and Lights for a project I tried to stack. I have tried stacking with several diferent cameras so far but I still get this same error message .

I have tested the images on the Windows version. No problems. Attached the stack result.

Since you got an error analysing the images (conversion .ORF to FITS?) , I tried both the DCRAW as Libraw raw conversion option in tab "Stack method" . didn't make a difference. Maybe the new Mac prevent executing the conversion program? I will now test the Mac version on my virtual Mac machine.

I had to uncheck image 6100896 since it spoiled the alignment but this has no relation to your error.

Maybe I am doing soemthing wrong. I just cleared all the calibration data and put in just light frames. Then Tried to analyze at 2.5 S Clipping. It says no fits?

    I'm using High Sierra,

If you load the .ORF files to the image tab, you should be able to open one in the viewer using the popup menu.

Stacking works on my Mac virtual machine using DCRAW conversion.

I just noticed the Libraw conversion is not working. I had to reformat my harddisk and it look like an older version was included in the Mac version. Also the tabs are too much too the right. I will issue a new version next hour.

    Cheers, Han

    You are fast Han.

But does it work? With LibRaw conversion you will get FITS files with the exposure time, date&time and de-mosaic pattern, so you can set it in AUTO or RGGB.

The Mac version is the least tested version. The Intel laptop with the virtual Mac machine I use is very slow and just good enough for compiling and a little testing.

Its working Awesome! One little bug. The tab have slid all the way to the right after I hit Stack (Sigma clip average)

The image FOV is 13x10 degrees and full of Milky-Way stars making alignment a little tricky. I had to uncheck one image mentioned before.

I will look into the tab problem later.

Yes I did uncheck probably the same image. Thank Han. I will see if I can stack some mono data now.

I stacked all the data that I had from this image in ASTAP. Dramatically better result then what I was able to get before with DSS.

Note there is one outstanding Mac problem. Sorting on a column forgets the check marks. Will fix that as soon it is fixed in the compiler.

Thanks Han. I hope to contribute what I can. Will doo a youtube video on my channel soon about stacking. Hope to spread the word about your great app.

When I get to know this software better I might have a few feature request. I will do what I can help work on any bugs.

I'm brand new to ASTAP. So far it looks great! I'm on Mac Catalina.

I've run into the "tabs slid to the right" problem. I browsed and added my files. I went to Lights and analyzed them. Now I cannot get back to the tabs to do the next step. The tabs are not visible except very briefly after starting the program. Any hints for a work-around?

    Thanks.

    Hello Roger,

I will look into the problem. This tab problem is new.

Thanks. It seems intermittent. Maybe I can identify which tab displays are
prone to hiding the tabs. Is this developed in XCode with auto layout, or
      what?
