Just installed latest version with "Run as Administrator". When I double-click on icon or "run as administrator" the icon appears in the task bar but the ASTAP window does not open.

That should not happen. Delete the config file astap.cfg.:

Delete the astap.cfg by:

Copy this path to explorer:

%LocalAppData%\astap

delete then astap.cfg

or in CMD box paste:

del %LocalAppData%\astap\astap.cfg
