    Hi!

Would be nice to have toggle to autoscroll log in the upper right corner.

    Thanks!

That is not fully clear to me. Would you like to stop the auto scroll? In which situation would that be useful?

For me on linux it doesn't autoscroll. Scroll bar returns to the top row after each operation. Have to do it manually.

Which Linux version are you using?

    First note that:
I noted today that the .deb file was damaged. I refreshed it, so download it again.

    Secondly:
I tested today the scrolling in Lubuntu24, Debian12 and Ubuntu25.04 (Gnome 48). It worked in all three (virtual machines). The log just scroll up with last message below. Do you run a special desktop environment?

Nothing special. Ubuntu Noble with its standard Gnome environment.
    Ok, will check again today.

Tried both latest .deb and beta. Both didn't scroll.

If it's relevant, my laptop resolution is rather small 1366 x 768, Didn't try it with external monitor yet.

Upon startap astap throws dozen of error messages
(astap:3843): Gtk-WARNING **: 20:34:47.231: Failed to set text from markup due to error parsing markup: Error on line 1: Entity did not end with a semicolon; most likely you used an ampersand character without intending to start an entity — escape ampersand as &

Try this development version and tell me if it works for you:

    http://www.hnsky.org/astap_amd64.deb

I have modified the scrolling instructions.
I also switched to an older compiler which doesn't give GTK errors. I have not traced the cause yet and it doesn't do any harm. The intention is also to move to GTK3 widget once a bug in GTK3 interface is fixed.

Their is a misunderstanding. That is the file header text. The log is in the second window behind the Σ button (CTRL+A).

Why would like to have the header text scrolled up? So seeing the end of the header.

You can resize this header text window by pulling the bottom down.

Ohh, got it now. Sorry for confusion. Looks like no issue at all.
I'm newbie to ASTAP, I saw PLATESOLVED in that window and somehow thought it's a log ))
