I have been running 'Measure all annotated' on a series of 135 mm images. Limiting magnitude is 12.71 ( σ=0.0081, SNR=7, aperture ⌀2.0) Saturation at ≈ 7.6 with individual image going down to 13.2 mag.
For one of the dimmer variables the AAVSO report form shows a nice light curve but comparison and check star lists remain empty and without a check star I can not export data to a list.
Manual star selection does not give a useful result.
Is there anything that can be changed to export magnitudes for the selected variable?
Han,
thanks for taking a look. I have selected 5 evenly spaced images. The variable is FR CMi (07 12 19.41 +09 21 02.7 (108.08087 +9.35075). You will see that the background is very uneven as there are a number of unpleasant lights in my neighborhood.
Strange, it work here with plenty of comparison stars available. Are you sure you have ASTAP version 2025.03.07 or later running?
Can you check again with the five files your shared? It is always possible it sometimes does not work but I expects the current version should just work.
I have been running ASTAP 25.3.15. I just installed the current version from the astap download site which is ASTAP 25.3.07. Running the whole set of images or just the five selected images does not change anything. That's very weird.

Just ran the data on my other pc (also astap 25.03.07) and everything worked as expected! The only difference I see is that on the pc astap runs from the internal hard drive while on the laptop astap runs from an external disk drive. However astap so far always worked with that combination.
If you have an idea how to solve that riddle please let me know.
Thanks and cs

That helps a lot. Nothing has changed for the drive access for a long time now. Are you using for the " AAVSO annotation" setting the internal or online database? If you switch makes that a difference?
If the annotation works then the measurement should also be an success. So in principle if a few thousand stars are annotated then it should work.
Just checked: the online DB is the problem, only with the locals DBs are check-/comp stars shown in the AAVSO report. Annotations are however shown in both cases.

1) Which operating systems are running at your pc and laptop?
2) Is there any difference in the decimal seperator setting? So is 10/3 written as 3,333 (komma) or 3.333 (dot)?
I will have a look to the code today.

Hi Axel,
No problem to have a look. Can you share some images to test?
Cheers, Han

The cause of this problem will be difficult to find. Could you share your computer so I run ASTAP remotely in the debugger? Could take about an hour.

Does an older ASTAP version give less problems? There is still version 2025.02.17:

Hi Axel,
We have to find the cause.
1) Which operating systems are running at your pc and laptop?
2) Is there any difference in the decimal seperator setting? So is 10/3 written as 3,333 (komma) or 3.333 (dot)?

Hi Han,
the PC runs on win10 home, the laptop on win10 pro but same decimal separator setting to dot.
