Can ASTAP solve a star field from (or produce) an (x, y)-list?

Astrometry.net tools allow you to perform a plate solve on already-extracted sources represented by an xy-list. Is this an option for ASTAP? And can it output an xy-list as well?

Some years ago it was experimenting with it briefly, but it made the code messy. This was never fully implemented.
