    Hello Han,

I am trying ASTAP for the first time for stacking. I am seeing weird "dead pixel like" repeating itself on the stacked image. I know those are not real. They are nowhere on the subs nor show with DSS or APP stacked images. What did I miss?

    hello Tempos,

There seems to be a repeat of triple hot pixels. But what the header is indicating that no dark, flats an flat-darks where used. These are essential to get hotpixels away. Check if they are in the tabs and of the right temp/gain or deselect "classify on". The program will give warnings if it can not find an appropiate dark,...

Tell me if you can fix it. Note i'm offline most of the time till mid october.

    Han

Weird as I had specified calibration frames. I tried it again and it worked.

Question: Why is the resulting stacked image flipped horizontally?

I do not think that ASTAP corrects for your optics.
