    I am using the latest 2022.07.03 ASTAP on macOS. I'm unable to get the Batch Solve Images feature to work. All the .fits files in a directory are greyed out so I can't select them. I also can't select the directory they reside in. These file can be opened and soved individually but not in batch. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

    Hello Bill,

    It is a bug. I see now that macOS doesn't understand .fit. I have to specify .fit;.fits. I will fix this and release a new version the next hours.

    Hi Han,
    I cannot produce a batch solve for my photometry files.
    Here are the necessary parameters for the solution of ONE image of Beta Lyr
    RA= 18 50 and Dec = +33 21
    FOV = auto
    DB = H18

    If I try to refresh astrometric solutions or do Tools/batch solve... it fails.

    It fails because it does not retain the RA and Dec and the FOV auto.
    Could you please help me ensure that these parameters stay set to the values needed.
    You will find a screen shot o the reseting of the Ra and Dec - back to something other than the RA
    18 50 and the Dec = + 33 21

    Hi Bill,

    You can do two things:

    1) Prior to batch solving enter the RA, DEC position in the ASTAP viewer. It will use this position if no other position is in the FITS header.
    2) Enter a search radius of 180 degrees. The first image of the series will take some minutes to solve but once the first image is solved, ASTAP will remember the position (and put it in the viewer as 1) ) and solve the other images of the series very quickly.

    You could also combine 1) and 2) for next time.

    Note if required you can also set the Field of view in "Auto" but that will most likely slow down the batch. Any setting change will be remembered after a solve of "save settings"

    Cheers, Han

    Bill,

    To overwrite existing solutions you have to set the overwrite option. See red marked screenshot :
