Sorry for the bad news, but I'm seeing another checkbox problem. This is kind of involved so bear with me.
I am doing photometry with B & V filters. I'm trying to figure out how to use ASTAP to streamline my calibration and stacking. I'm actually using VPhot for the actual photometry measurements.
The problem is that during stacking, some check boxes that I've unchecked get rechecked.
I improved some things but can not solve completely the problem. Long story but easiest way is to cope with it is uncheck the option "After analyse untick the worst images"

The unchecking happens because of the red marked checkbox "After analyse untick worst image" . Easiest is to keep this box unchecked and make your selection manually. You can sort on HFD, background.... by clicking on the columns. Then just uncheck or remove the bad images.
Note this screenshot is from the Windows version. The crown and thumb-down are icons. This doesn't work in the Mac version due to a compiler bug I hope to have fixed soon. The crown is replaced by a text crown. If option "After analyse untick worst image" is activated and the worst images are excluded and amrked with a thumb down.. If you relax the value then the thumbs down images are check marked again as soon you hit analyse or stack.
The thumb- down are not visible in the Mac. Just uncheck the checkbox "After analyse untick worst image" Sorting the images manually using the columns on quality and HFD's is that is easiest method.
Yes, I had figured out it had something to do with the "untick worst images" feature. I can leave it off if need be.
Does this only happen when I have two (or more) sets of images loaded at the same time? If I only load the Vs and Bs, one set at a time and have the "uncheck after analyse" ON, will I still have this problem.

The B and V set are processed separately. That's why you see one crown for B and one for a V image indicating the best image used for reference. So if you have one or three set it doens't mater for excluding outliers.
What the program does is as follows:
Assume you say i want only the 90% of the best image. That is executed. Then if you change your mind and change it to 95%, then the images with the "thumb down" are recovered and included.
You can't see the "thumbs down in the Mac but they are there. If you uncheck an image then it is permanent excluded. That will happen if the check and uncheck an image. I have added a removal of the "thumb down" as soon you uncheck manually. so with some clicking you could exclude one set. Other options are remving these image in the list or uncheck the option to exclude poor images.

I got the feedback that the icons can not be displayed in the Mac due to technical differences in the Mac operating system.
I have extended the fix using Unicode characters and added the thumb down and red, green blue characters for the filters. Red green and blue icons are at the type field not at the filter column. At location of the filter they spoil the selection of the filter.

The FITS images and the screenshots are located here:

Note that I'm not using the Classify by Light filter. This seems to really be for RGB processing and I would end up with some strange color image.
As a work around, I can just load the Bs and Vs separately, but I like working with them togerther if possible.
No big rush on this, just thought you might want to know.
Hi Bill,
I see the same effect here. The one left over is is the one which gets the crown as best image. I will do some bug finding.

Can you explain what is happening so I know how to avoid it? I'd rather not have random checkboxes becoming unchecked without my knowledge.
