Iwould like to know more about how this tool works.
1. I have downloaded the CometELS text file from MPCORB by opening it and copying the contects to a CometELS.txt file on my computer. It is not a deliniated file. How do you get data from it?
2. Does the app look for asteroids and comets in the image at the same time? Do I have to tell it what type Itolook for?
3. Have I downloaded the wrong file?

ASTAP will look for both the asteroid and comet database and use the both for plotting.

To download, I go to the webpage, move the mouse to the link and with right mouse button "save link as" . You should only do that for the uncompressed file. If you download the .gz, then you have to uncompress the file.
