Just started using after my main stacking program's creators retired. My first attempt was quite impressive but I produced a final image with a circular blue field on the uppfer left portion of the final image. Color fidelity of the rest of the image was superb as well as the other stacking variables. Could not remove the blue field using any of the traditional tools available in Photoshop and its plug-ins. Any suggestions would be welcomed

Sorry for a delayed reply but an extended family emergency had me out of state for a few weeks. The blue circle vanished when I took my LP filter out of the optical path. An alternate filter shows no such issue but I do need assistance.
I own an SBIG OSC imager with Kodak's 8300 chip and a QSI mono imager with the Kodak 8300 chip as well. When I process using ASTAP with the SBIG camera, the final product only produces a color image when I have the force color box checked. If instead I enter my Bayer matrix of GBRG in the correct block, I get a grayscale image unless I recheck the force color box as well. The color images come out well and can be optimized in Photoshop without any issues.
On the other hand, the QSI routine has me confounded. In CCDStack, I would process each color filter set of files separately and combine them in that program's Color process by simply putting each color processed stacked file in the program's combine functions proper slots. How do I work in the ASTAP program to process/combine those filter's individual stacked final images.
Thanks - Fran P.

Can you share an image showing the blue circle or better attach the fits file to you reply? Or share it in an other way.
