I use ASTAP mainly for plate solving. The other day I hit the Stack button. Now I don't see how to get back to Plate Solve setup.

You can start ASTAP and open the stack menu with ctrl+A for solving option in tab alignment.

An other option is to go to default. Start ASTAP application. Go to FILE, SETTINGS, RETURN TO DEFAULT SETTINGS.

Good. That got the plate solve page back.
Now the attached image won't slove. I submitted the image to Astrometry.net and got a solution. I used the data found to change ASTAP . Pressing Solve quickly gets "No Solution Found."

Is least this image solved by nova.astrometry.net tells you the FOV.
ASTAP can't solve this image. There are not many stars visible. Also focus could be better. ASTAP detects only 5 stars. Try a longer exposure time. 0.5 seconds is a little short. 5 or maybe 10 seconds expsoure will do in most cases.

Ned you should give ASTAP stacking a try. It is great in my opinion. Far better then DSS.
