    Hi Han,

I have a bit the same issue as with this forum entry :
    https://sourceforge.net/p/astap-program/discussion/general/thread/c8caf90897/?limit=25#de44

I haveinstalled the latest version of Astap (27/09/2022)

The photo is taken with Maxim DL and a SBIG CCD camera on a 68cm telescope of the AstroLAB Iris Volkssterrenwacht in Ieper.

    I have installed database H18 (and V17).

I do see the OBJCRA en OBJCTDEC fits header :
OBJCTRA = '19 12 05' / Nominal Right Ascension of center of image
    OBJCTDEC= '+19 44 00' / Nominal Declination of center of image

When I open the image (in annex) I do see in the lower left corner that the RA and DEC are not taken.
    (see annex)

Also, if I run this instruction in cmd (or in python) :
    .\astap.exe -f "C:/AstroPie/light/Franly_GRB\GBR221009A#221010-001I.fits" -ra 19.000 -spd 109.000 -update

the file does not get solved.
(ra is about 19hours, dec is about +19degrees)

Can you please have a look at this ?

    Kind Regards,
    Pieter.

    Hello Pieter,

I'm currently travelling and have only a phone with me. This has to wait till mid october.

Compatibility with MaximDl files has been tested so it will be interesting to see why it is not working this time.

68 cm telescope will give a small FOV. If so sometimes it helps to set the number of stars to use to Auto. There is command line instruction for this "auto".

    Hello Pieter,

FITS image solved here without problems even the dimensions are pretty low 1024 x 682 pixels. Can you check your marked settings as in the screenshot? Or just go to default via FILE, SETTINGS, "Return to default settings"

The RA, DEC position are read correctly from the header but only reported in the top left fields Your screenshot, the mouse cursor position is only displayed after a plate solve by either ASTAP or nova.astrometry.net. It requires the solution to report the mouse cursor position.

Maybe you have bad version. Last version is 2022-10-01.

    Hi Han,

The "settings /reset to default" did the trick.

    thanx !
