Calibration and alignment only not updating header

    I'm helping someone on the AAVSO forums that wanted to align and calibrate a time series but not stack them. I told him that ASTAp should be able to do that. Just choose "Calibration and alignment only" in the stack method. He tried that but reported that VPhot was saying the images had not been calibrated.

    I just tried it myself using ASTAP version 2023.12.21, 64 bit (admittedly somewhat out of date) and looked at the aligned.fit files in the Results tab. Sure enough the header does not contain the calibration "DFB" data. Despite that, in the Calibration column of the Results tab, it does have "DFB" listed there.

    Is this a bug or user error?

    I decided to download the latest version (20525-03-07) to see if it gave different results. It did! I now see the CALSTAT key in the header with a "BFD" value.

    Good it is solved.

    In CALSTAT

    D stands for dark applied
    F for flat applied.
    B for bias/flat-dark applied.
    S for stacked.

    Hi.
    Han, these images show photometry of a set of images of one area of the sky (around the variable star v1400 Tau). The v1400_1 and asas1 are the result of a sequence of calibration and alignment, then photometry. (I did this by accident, didn't realize it was wrong).
    v1400_2 asas2 is the result of only calibration and then photometry.
    As can be seen, in the first case the result is strikingly smooth and of high quality, although not quite right. Is there no way to somehow utilize the quality from one variant and the correctness of the measurements from the second?
