    Hi,

As soon as I installed ASTAP v2025.09.12 everything work fine including solving, But when I press on "Image inspection (F5) ASTAP freeze and can not press any thing, So I have to force close ASTAP and reopened .
The previous version which I had was working well but I didn't remember what was the version, I thing it was v2025.05.xx
    Windows 11 64bit
I reinstalled ASTAP and all Data files.. same issue
I installed ASTAP in different directory (not program file).. same issue
I ran ASTAP as Admin.. same issue.
    Any hints please?

    Thanks.

    Hi Ali,

Here I tested it on some images and it still works. Can you attach your image to your next post so I can have a look why it is not working for you?

    Hi Ali,

It is a jepg image. That one is workling. I assume you where working with raw or fits images. If so attach it to a reply. I will remove it once I have downloaded it.

    Hi,

    Its working now !
I have done 2 things at same time ( Sorry, I know shouldn't do that if I want to know the root cause):
1- Uninstall all the star databases and reinstalled.
2- In stack menu>Alignment> star data base used was empty I changed it to Auto > Solver not worked then I reload the image then Solver and Image inspection worked :)
could be 1 or 2 that make the trick! At the end everything is ok now..
    Sorry for your time
Many thanks as you always be in help !

    Ali

Only for reference and may help other to solve something like this:
I was stated in the first post that I reinstall ASTAP and the data files, I recall that I only reinstall ASTAP only but not the data files..
So, I think reinstalling the data files was the solution (for me).

    Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. If no other users face a similar problem, then this is probably solved.

    Clear skies, Han
