I just updated my box to Debian 13 (trixie) which brings in Perl 5.40. I ran mod_inst_ocr.pl (2.12) and tried updating perl modules via cpan. I ran into trouble with the installation of DBD::mysql, LEOCHARRE::Debug, PDF::OCR2 and Archive::Libarchive::XS. I finally found a package to install LEOCHARRE::Debug (not LEOCHARRE::DEBUG) and then PDF::OCR2 could also be installed. I still did not succeed installing DBD::mysql and Archive::Libarchive::XS. Concerning Archive::Libarchive::XS I wonder if it is still needed, because metacpan tells me „NOTE: This module has been deprecated in favor of Archive::Libarchive.“ which installs without problems. Maybe some wise wizard could do a refresh on mod_inst.pl / assp.mod.zip so that it is again our one-stop-shop for all modules needed? Thanks for your hard work!
