I am in the same situation as you Bennett, but I haven't scheduled my server for a reboot yet. I will this evening though, and I will confirm or deny your findings. I've never heard of anything like this ever happening, and it certainly hasn't happened to me in all the time I have been using ASSP, WSUS and scheduled reboots. Is it possible that something else or someone else had marked that service as deleted?
