However, it seems that the camera is not correctly transformed into a global space. The lookat vector remains 0 0 -1, but the eye-vector is correct. I would like to keep this flat node graph to increase the speed of my renderer.
Just wanted to let you know that the error is that lookAt is in fact lookDir in Assimb. So there is some inconsistent naming there, but i figured my bug and fixed it.
